Resilience Rehab was founded by Mr. Paul Bosisto as a private rehabilitation business servicing customers online or in their own homes. Paul created the business to provide rehabilitation services for those clients who find it difficult to access, or are perhaps not well serviced by traditional rehabilitation providers.
The service targets clients with complex problems that are often poorly understood, or respond poorly to mainstream clinical interventions and generic clinical approaches. These complex problems respond best to a multi pronged (interdisciplinary) apporoach that addresses the broader context of your problem.
Resilience Rehab combines physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology and other practioners when neccessary in a goal to empower clients in self-management and facilitate positive change.
Paul Bosisto is an accredited APA Pain Pysiotherapist with 30 years experience in Australia and overseas. He holds a Masters degree in Pain Management from Sydney University.

He was national chair of the APA Neurology special interest group from 2011 - 2014. Traditional approaches to pain focus on reducing pain intensity. Analgesic drugs and physiotherapy target the causes of pain to make it go away. While this approach works well in many situations, it often doesn't work, and sometimes the treatment can become a part of the problem. Once pain becomes chronic, you need to find a different solution.
Chronic pain is very complex and pain intensity is just one factor among many that contribute to suffering. This is good news. There are many factors that we can target to releive your suffering and disability. In fact, pain intensity has very little to do with disability. Some people with lots of pain continue to function well, while others who report less pain can be totally overwhelmed by it. When you survey people, you find that everybody has pain. Pain is a normal part of a healthy lifestyle. Pain is even important for keeping your body in a healthy balance. The goal of becoming "pain free" is therefore not a realistic or even desirable objective.
Pain Management shifts the focus away from trying to make the pain less and instead teaches you to function better. By learning about how pain works, you can become comfortable with discomfort, regain your confidence and rebuild your resilience. This is not a short cut to pain relief. It often involves challenging your beliefs about what your pain acutally means, it requires hard work to change your habits and committment to rebuild your fitness.
The goal of pain management is to reclaim a life in which pain no longer dominates, and even if it is present, it no longer limits you.
